This is transformation in motion - wild, unpredictable, alive with possibility. Nothing feels settled because everything is shifting, reforming, finding new patterns. Sandstorm celebrates the beautiful turbulence of transition, the moment before clarity arrives. Change moves through us like wind through desert.
I painted these pieces in that exhilarating space between careers - hair and makeup behind me, painting ahead, six months before COVID arrived. This series captures that breathless in-between space, the beautiful uncertainty of choosing a new path. Each piece explores liminal moments in nature - rock pools, fossils, tidal marks, sandstorms - all suspended between states, just like I was. The In-Between celebrates the freedom of leaving what's familiar and trusting the tide will carry us somewhere new. This was transformation full of wonder, full of possibility, full of hope.
